Week 4 [16.11-22.11] Second post about US Election

US ELECTION There’s been a political storm rolling through the 2020 election in the US. Voter turnout and mail-in ballots have seen record figures. The pandemic is still raging and Trump has warned he might not concede defeat when all the votes are counted.  Announcing the winner  This election has been different from any other for obvious and ambiguous reasons. Issues such as the pandemic situation and record highs at polling stations have set this election apart. This resulted in the long-standing American tradition of calling the winner on election night, not taking place. Nevertheless, it shouldn't really perplex too many people as we have seen this occurrence before, in the 2000 election. Back then, there wasn’t any serious suggestion that the election might have been rigged or that there that riots would ensue on the streets.
