Week 12 [13-19.06.2016] The video Bovskiej - Click - conquers the Internet!

The project “School of music videos” gathers young people from the whole country to create music videos for famous artists this year three awesome videos were created for artists like Vienio, Kortez and Bovska. For Bovska,  young filmmakers created a video called “ Click “ which was officially released a few days ago.

Agnieszka Turska, a students of PJAIT, participated in the project and co-created one of  the videos.

There are approximately 40 people who participate in such a project.
everyone decides by himself what he/she would like to create.  Each group makes a different video for a different artist. Their task is to put the song’s soul into the video they’re creating. The young filmmakers were supervised by one of the coordinators. All the things you’ve seen in the video were prepared by the ambitious group of 13 people.  The effect surpassed all expectations-- the video impresses with its tasteful design and original idea.
It’s a unique project which gives students a hands-on experience. It uncovers the film industry, allows you to connect with people with similar passions/hobbies and interests. To their disposal the participants have  professional equipment, logistical assistance and a micro budget. The group must write a script, prepare a location, hire actors, acquire artifacts, and a million other things that are required to create a music video!

So far the participants of the project have created 17 video clips for artists like: Lao Che, Nosowska, Bednarek, Marika, Pablopavo, Nemego, Abel, Emil Bluff, Luca, Monika Brodka.

- Would you participate in this kind of event?
- Do you know any similar events, if yes could you mention at least one? What do you think about video clips?

That is cool that young artist have chance to show their’s skills. I never participated in such event and I won’t since I am just a programmer. I don’t know any similar events. The only thing I remember is a competition where Krzesimir Debski won and it was something for Beyonce, but I don’t know what it was about. I know that it is hard to do something cool for low budget so people have to be amazingly creative.

I never participated in any event like that either. I am also a developer and I don’t have such interests and skills to participate. I am happy that even people from our school try to win. I don’t know such events and I am not interested in them. Videos shown by you looks interesting it would be cool to see the whole video that won.

This is great! I love that kind of art, fresh point of view and some new action. Cool topic, thanks for this presentation.

I have never heard about similar event, and I think it is great. Of course I would like to participate in this kind of event.
Video clips can be good way for the animators and other film’s people. I think that polish clips are better and better. A few years ago every polish clip was very bad, but I think that it changes.
In my opinion Bovska's clip has both good and bad moments.
That seems like a great chance for young filmmakers. I also do know and like some of those music acts, so I'll probably check some of these works out.

Great initiative. Unfortunately I'm not interested in music of any of the artists you've mentioned, so no wonder I missed it. I'd check it out if they created a music video for something I actually like.

It's quite interesting initiative and I think that this kind of events give a big chance young filmmakers who want to develop their skills. I don't know who designed clips for Kortez music album but I like it a lot e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwcbiveQ6FA :)

I never participated in such competition, probably because in IT world there are not so many competitions, and art is not my hobby. I also cannot remember any of such events. However I do think that such events are important and artists should participate in such competitions to support young artists, and open doors of carrier for them.

I think that great thing about this kind of projects is that people can learn a lot from each other. I don't quite know well how does it work exactly - is there any selection, are people earning money for their work, how much time does it take. But working with great artists and creating something meaningful is very important aspect of designer's work. It is so much more fun to create a real music video than another school project.

Its ok i guess but i feel its like ripping artist off (those creating it) :D Doing it for free is kind of meh i guess experience is ok.

I must say I've never heard of such a project, but it sounds interesting. I don't know if I would take part in it, I'm not creative enough for the new media times :D Still, I enjoyed the video clip. It seems well-made and thought out, and fits the song. The colours were aesthetically pleasing. I think it's great that students have a chance to have a glimpse behind the curtain of the art direction industry and see if they like it and want to work like that in the future.

I've never participated in something like that, but I have a strong feeling that professionals would avoid something like that mainly because it is for free, while students that need practice and just enthusiasts who want to be involved in the project would appreciate the possibility.
I know nothing about things like this one and before the article I've never heard about something like that (in terms of making videos for musicians).

It really interesting to look what people can come up with when given rather simple task. It really allows people to express their creativity. Speaking of given event, it's the first time I heard about such thing. Despite my poor artistic skills it would be interesting to participate in one.

Thank you for your opinion, it’s good to attend such kind of events because it boosts your creativity and you get meet new people. It’s the people individual opinion who won, because it’s not graded or scored by anyone.

Would you participate in this kind of event?

I have no idea! It seems really cool, but i don't know how would i feel with some kind of potential pressure there :P

Do you know any similar events, if yes could you mention at least one? What do you think about video clips?

I might have heard about similiar projects but nothing concrete doesn't come to me right now. I love cool and original video clips - especially the animated ones :)

Thank you for your opinion, she’s actually new in the music business so it’s hard to compare her to any other artist but she got famous in just six months, which is fast in this industry.

Thank you for your opinion, they have made many music videos I bet you’ll find something which you’ll enjoy.

Thank you for your opinion, on youtube you can find all the people who worked creating the clip for him.

Thank you for your opinion, I hope you’ll find your passion in IT but also change your perspective about art.

Thank you for your opinion, they don’t earn any money for the work, they have to pay for the course, and also there’s a selection how does it work I don’t know. It takes around 4 weekends for about 8 hours, and 72 hours creating the clip.

A really interesting article, I have never heard about this project. Ill gladly watch these music videos, Im actually really interested in animations like this. I was even wondering about creating a music video for my diploma using stop motion technique. As for the project, it' a great idea and an opportunity for learning and work with great artists.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
