Comments

1. Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?
Yeah, I think they are addictive and I am definitely addicted to Facebook due to the fact that most of the communication with friends/ colleagues/family is done with the use of their messenger so while waiting for another message from any of them, I'm scrolling down this infinite news feed.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
I think that modern companies can survive without a social media account, but this kind of company won't have such popularity, and lack of social activities will have an impact on customer base and will result in lesser income.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
Well, most of my communication associated with studying is done with the use of social media, but it is possible to just migrate those conversations to SMS/Skype, so I definitely can imagine living without social media.
I actually have zero activity on my social medias. Zero posts on my Facebook profile, one instagram photo which my friends posted from my phone while I was drunk, and so on. But I am registered in all of them for a single simple reason: when I make a new contact, I usually want to have a stable and reliable way to contact this person online. And since my acquaintances are from many different parts of the world, they all use different kinds of social media. And I just do not like to force a person to register in the network that I use, for two reasons:
1) It would be impolite to do so,
2) This person will most likely forget about this account in that social media since it was made from my request, and at most will show up online once a week or less. And, as I said, I need a reliable way of communication.
With that said, I would like to sum up:
--Social medias are a powerful tool for communication for me
--They are not worth devoting your life into. Personally, I put only bare minimum info about me there, just so new acquaintances will be able to find me easier, and nothing more.

I’m sure that social media may be addictive for people but we can’t say that it’s a rule. I think that I’m not addicted to them but to be honest, sometimes I grab my phone to make few taps on fb or Instagram and it’s distracting me. To be honest I believe that a modern company can survive without social media account. Some people are trying to start their businesses on social media but in my opinion it’s wrong way. Firstly you have to have a good idea and then you won’t even need social media account. It would be hard to live without social media because lot of content is shared there and as for now I need it.

Oh yes, social media are addictive. I’m struggling everyday to become more productive and this is the main obstacle and time eater. Modern companies can survive and will survive without social media, however without them they are falling behind competitors and lose potential clients. There is much more benefits of having company social account than being “offline”. I can’t imagine living without social media as student, today everyone uses facebook etc. to share content and be in touch with others. I’m not a big fan of that but it’s the way the world works.

I think social media are addictive, but as everything addictive thing I am aware of, they don't affect everyone. There are people who use it reasonably. I wouldn't say I'm addicted to it.

It's obvious to me that you don't need a social media campaigns to be a successful company. It sure helps to do so if you are selling a product, but it depends on the use case and it is not a rule.

I don't know why people get so excited about this topic and want to be in camp of social media or non social media. I don't use most of the platforms and I don't feel like people who do are developing faster.

1. Do you think social media are addictive? Do you think that You are addicted to them?

Yes, I think that social medias are addictive. Am I addicted? I don't think so, but I use them a lot, especially Instagram. Maybe it's because I find it interesting, but I can't see any problem to stop using it.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?

I think it depends on what the company business is about. For example - when such a company is making some campaigns for instagram influencers etc. social media account is mandatory.
When we're talking about some factory - I don't think it's needed, but it can be something like business card.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?

Why not? All I need is simple messenger to communicate with others. Things like Instagram are just some cool, additional features.
Good point mentioning about different social media providers from different parts of the world. I have a lot of social media apps intalled for the same reason
Do You think that a company with a really good idea may survice without social media ? In what other ways it can promote itself to expand from local to global market ?

1.Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them?
I think that social networks are addictive only for those people who have not developed willpower and who do not appreciate time. I'm not addicted to social media. There was a time that I was 6 months not used instagram, vk, facebook.

2.Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
It depends on the activity of the company and wants to know about it as many more people, thereby increasing sales or services.

3.Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
I think so, we all have a mobile number that would be aware of all the events.

I know some people who are addicted to social media so yes, I think it's addictive. It's because we are looking for a feeling of acceptance. and by likes or comments people get it on social media. Sometimes people lie just to make someone feel better and then you are scrolling your social media page and see an awful person and you scroll to comments and like 90% of them are You are so beautiful and then you see who posted this comments and you see another ugly face. Maybe it's because of their cameras or that time but I hate this fakery posts.

I think that small company can survive without social media but then they should have a website that is visited a lot by their customers. It's hard to get popular without this type of stuff.

I don't think that I would survive in studies without social media. It helps a lot to keep track with everything that is going on. When you get sick for example in friday you won't know what you will see in monday because its hard to comunicate with someone without it. Of course there will be telephones still and so on but social media makes it a lot easier for us. Another thing is that it's an easy way to pass some files to may people at once or find some interesting events that are taking place close to you.

Whole our world is powered by internet and social media are part of this. Social media are useful and they improve our communication for sure it’s fast. As an studnet environment we can share with any materials for our classes. People forget that this should help us but not waste time. I guess they consider that social media are the most important thing in thier live but it is not. They post something stupid or watch weird video. Social media are not addictive but people who use for instance facebook can’t use it normally. Market is unbearable place and any person will do anything for money and position. I know good company without social media and they have not bad income. It’s importat for what environment will you advertise. Social media are useful but not compulsory. As i wrote above it is practical. Any student can share material or information. For today to many people have social media and if decide to delete my account I don’t have any information from school.

1.      Do you think social media are addictive  ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?

Yes, I do. That’s why I try to get rid of the social media accounts for quite some time. Removing them from my life make some positive changes. I apparently have more time, I don’t waste my spare time to scroll down my phone instead of it I spend it for more useful things. I would even say that removing social media accounts for a month let me see things from another perspective. But on the other hand without all those social media accounts I wouldn’t appreciate spare time that I have without them :)

2.      Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?

Yes, sure. There is no need to have a social media account to gain a popularity or brand awareness. A social media account may boost your brand’s name but it’s not necessarily true. The main idea is not to become popular the main idea is to make qualitative things that people need(or at least would like to buy) and then you probably won’t even need a social media account.

Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
Yes, I do. It’s way more harder to imagine living without Google as a student. What do actually most students need is just a group chat where they can share all the information connected with the university/subjects/exams etc. There is no need of social media as a student
1. Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?

I think that social media are very addictive. There are a lot of younger people that live due to have biggest number of likes. There are people who can not go to the party and just enjoy it- they must record it on their Snapchat relation. There are girls that post half naked photos on Instagram just to have more likes. There are people that are unable to meet someone alive, they must use Tinder. That's quite creepy in my opinnion.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?

It depends on company but I guess that most companies that are using social media accounts are seen as more cool and more modern. I know a lot of fitness clubs, restaurants or shops that does not have website and are using only facebook fanpage.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?

As a person - yes, as a student - not.

1. Yes, I think that social media is addictive. I think that I often log in to Facebook, but it is not addiction. I know people who can not get away from the phone and upload photos to the web when meeting friends.
2. I think it is not possible. Currently, people are looking for information about services and products only on the Internet.
3. Social media allow you to contact other students and exchange knowledge or notes, so it would be hard.

I think social media can be addictive, but as far as I'm concerned, I use them when I'm bored and don't have anything better to do, so I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to them.
Social media are now a big part of marketing campaigns of a lot of companies, so I guess that it's indeed hard to survive without using them and staying in touch with your clients.
I can imagine living without social media as a student, it's not something that is absolutely necessary for me. It would be definitely harder to communicate with your friends, but it wouldn't be impossible.
Unknown said…
1. I think that social media can be and very often are addictive like drugs or alcohol, especially for people who can’t or don’t want to control amount of time they spend on using it. Take a look on people taking the underground on their way to work, most of them are stuck to their smartphones and many of them are scrolling social media accounts. To be honest I use social media on a daily basis so I can say I am used to them, but I think I am not addicted to them. I try to control how much time I spend using social media, especially during working hours.

2. Of course having social media accounts is not a crucial factor for companies’ existence on the market, however it can be very important depending on the sector that given company is operating in, e.g.: entertainment companies heavily rely on social media campaigns whereas banks use other forms of communication with clients.

3. It would be difficult for me to live completely without social media, the reason is simple - almost everybody uses, especially students and young people in general. Actually, this is currently the main form of communication nowadays, so stopping using it, would cause that I could lose touch with some people living in other cities or countries. When it comes to social media in the context of being a student it would be even harder to live without social media as most of the information regarding courses, tests and exams is exchanged between students by means of social media.

Yes, they're addictive. And I'm addicted to them. When I don't have anything to do, the first thing I do is start facebook and review the news.

It is certainly able to survive - it depends on the industry. Certainly technology companies - they should have social media, but this isn't the rule either.

Yes, I can imagine it. It would be enough for the communicator itself - like a messenger.

Yes, I do. The social media are very addictive. In the way to work, we can see that most of the people are looking into their smartphones. It's hard to believe that they are checking the weather or news... I don't think I am addicted. When I have nothing to do, then I start checking Facebook or Instagram. I work as the programmer and after work, I am so fed up with computers that I try to avoid any tech device after work.

Yes, I believe so. Many older companies don't have any social media account or even website and they are still on the market. I believe their secret is to provide good service and they have their own regular clients.

I can imagine it, but it would be really difficult.
Yes, a lot of people can't spend one day without social media. I think it’s very big problem and with time this problem will increase. People stop noticing the world around them and they often don't have time for something. I realized this a couple of years ago and stop using them like news. At this moment for me social media is for contact with my friends and nothing else. Cal Newport said that if you produce something rare and valuable, the market will value that, and I agree with him. While you are studying sometimes it's hard, because you need to have connection with others, but it's not impossible. Always you can find another way to solve this problem.
1. Yes definitely. I think I spend there too much time. Few times I thought about deleting facebook account. I don’t even know anymore the purpose why I have it.
2. Yes. But it also depends on the market. Some companies are really interactive on social media while other just have it only for the information that they exist. I like Apple approach to that. They just announce events there. No unnecessary interactions, no scandals when person responsible for PR screw something up.
3. I would imagine but only when having a way of communication with others

Yes, I think that social medias are really addictive and in my opinion the real problem of this addiction is loneliness, unhappiness and desire to give life meaning. I hope that I am not addicted. Well, when I bored I could sit in it for hours but hopefully I started realise it and try to make something more important. Social medias is a good tool for manipulating people. There are a lot of companies who advertise themselves, selling goods or cover different world events.
Could I imaging life without social medias? Sometimes I could live days without it but want I it or not but it will be a part of my life. Because now I am trying to use it as a contact with my friends and family. Living in different countries made me use at least one social media.
I think that quitting a social media is a solid choice but one that cannot be made alone. For some people it is addictive, just look at people who cannot live a 5 minutes without posting in instagramm and spending pretty much all day looking in their phones, i do not feel addicted to social medias and have accounts only for messaging. If a company would find a way to advertise effectively without social medias it would definitely survive. It would be hard to live completely without social medias now, because it is pretty comfortable to arrange meeting and organize some kind of group effort through media, but i can definitely imagine a life without it, i still remember how i was ok without medias in childhood.

In my opinion, social media are very addictive. There are many people that don't imagine to start the day without checking their Facebook or Instagram. I'm not addicted to it because I can live without it, and I actually use it from time to time.

I think that modern companies are really dependent on social media. Thanks to posting a lot on social media the company can be seen better. It's a really good place for advertisement as well. But what if there were no social media? Well, I think it would be much harder for many companies to show up on the market.

The main thing that I use social media for is contact with people, not looking for "news" like "oh, he's got a new car...", or "oh, she got drunk at the party...". For me, if there were no social media that won't be a tragedy.

For me social media isn't such addictive as for example you tube. But you always can fight with it. And I think that these two are not the worse problem of humanity. As I said before the main problem and the most negative and useless internet platform is TED Talks. This is one of the hugest places with subject incompetence because speakers definitely not a specialists. They are legal frauds. If somewhere was a petition against TED Talks I would definitely in.

Returns to the subject there are a lot of companies without social media account. And they still alive but trends are trying to say that it isn't right.

I can imagine living without social media as a student because I used to be that kind of student before. Nothing special you just using more that kind of tools like meetings, phones and libraries to get information.

Yes, I think they are addictive. People are driving a car on an instagram or facebook, they are riding a bus doing the same sitting at work or in school is the same, it is addictive and many people are addicted but I do not think myself and addicted person.

I think that it can be very hard because everyone who is looking for something and wants to check something first looks for it in social media just later somewhere else.

No, we communicate with each other as students through social media, it helps us a lot. We send files and talk on chat, so I think it would be impossible in these times
1. Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?
I think social media are addictive but I don't think I am addicted to them. I spend a lot of time in social media to chat with people but I do not have to be online all the time so I think this is not addiction.
2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
I think social media definitely helps companies with their business. By social media they post information about their product so this is a good way of advertising.
3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
Yes, can imagine living without social media.

I am so addicted to social media and in my opinion all our generation is addicted too. We can don’t wach tv, don’t listen radio etc but we can’t stop using social media.

Nowadays the company can survive without social media but it much easier to run your own business with the social media thanks to which you have more clients.

As I have already mentioned, due to the dependence on the media, In general I can’t not imagine it.

I’m pretty sure that social media are addictive. Fortunately I’m not addicted to it, now. However some time before I spotted that it’s a place where I’m spending all my time once woking up antill fall asleep.

On second question I can disagree with presenter. Because I think that even though social media is something with what modern company could survive, I believe that social media is also were powerful tool with which you can promote and make better visibility of your company.

It quite useful for students. You can find easily peoples via social media. However, I couldn’t say that this is something that is must have.
But also it becomes quite annoying once you should do a group project in university and one person from your group is not presented in any social media or messenger, so you couldn’t add him/her to conversation and whole communication becomes were hard. So I believe for student must have a popular messengers to be online.
Unknown said…
I don't think I'm addicted to them personally, and I could make do without them, but I do think that they are a bit addictive. In my experience, many people use social media a bit too much.
I also think that while a social media account is not strictly neccessary for survival for modern companies, it is definitely very helpful, as it allows the company to more effectively communicate with the massive amounts of people using social media.
I can definitely imagine living without social media as a student, but it would be very annoying to do so. A lot of the communication between students happens on social media (primarily Facebook), and abandoning social media would require using other means of communication, which would make gathering information take a bit more time than usual.
Unknown said…
1. Yes, definitely. Most people don't even realize how much time they spend on social media. I was one of those people until recently and right now I'm aware of my addiction.

2. I think it is possible for the company to survive on the market without a social media account. I just don't know why would they choose not to use them. It doesn't take much effort to maintain it and it can help company to increase their popularity and therefore increase their profit.

3. As a student it's hard not to use social media. It's the easiest way of communicating with other fellow students, but nevertheless I can imagine living without it. It would just be a bit harder at the begging, but I'm sure that I would adapt to that situation.

Yes, I believe that social media are addictive. And I think I spend too much time on them.
To run a successful business I don't think you need to have a Facebook page or Instagram account but having one would definitely help you to spread awareness about your brand and make it more recognizable. There are some companies that don't use social media that much, for example, Apple. They have an official Twitter account but don't have any tweets on it. Maybe it's the company's policy or maybe they perceive companies like Twitter, Facebook and other as potential rivals. Nevertheless, Apple is considered one of the most successful companies and they do pretty good without being very active on social platforms (maybe with exception of YouTube).
For me, social media is nothing more than a communication tool and it's hard to stay connected with other people these days without using them. If you don't want to get addicted to social media you then you should know your limit and probably restrict yourself.
I'm pretty sure that we are social media addicts, it is a fact. To be honest, yes, but not in a full way like girls in a public transport. No, surely not. I don't believe that modern company can survive without social media accounts, it is impossible.
I truly believe, that all the information we can surf through will help us, so i can't imagine our life without social media as a student.
1.Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?
Social media or, to be more precise, the ability of saving time they provide, are indeed addictive. It’s simply more comfortable and time consuming to have the opportunity to share/talk/watch/participate in events without the actual need to attend them.
2,Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
Given the influence of social media on our everyday life and the great canal of distribution it provides, it would simply be a ‘shot in the knee’ not to use social media. But it surely is possible.
3.Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
It would surely be hard, but since our ancestors have managed to succeed, why wouldn’t we? Again, it would simply not be optimal to deny ourselves the faciliations.
Right - it would be extremely hard to be a student and don't have any social media account
Marcin Górski said…
Yes, of course. I think that media are addictive, especially Facebook, Instagram. I am very good example because I am spending a lot of daily time on reading posts/statuses and commenting my friends photos. It's horrible but I can't change it. Seriously!
No, modern company can't survive on the market without social media account. When I am searching a job I am always checking their social accounts because I like to know that their are organizing some events etc. Additionally, it's normal situation that you can talk about job offer, company by Facebook without calls and emails. It's very friendly for new workers.
What about last question? As I said, I am aware of my addiction. I would like to change it but it is very hard. If you talking about student life it's different situation because thanks for Facebook I can talk with my friends about homework, projects and know about exams. Skype is very good for learning too.
Right, but how often are You writing text message via SMS comparing to texting via social media like Messenger? By the way 6 months without instagram, vk and facebook - wow ! Amazing - I think that I wouldn't be able to last so long
Thank You for sharing Your experience with a month brake with social media :)
Reviewing the news is a good thing - a problem is when You keep scrolling and scrolling, and at some point You don't know what were You reading
Right - a speed of gathering information about any university activity is crucial.
Social media are addictive for sure. Nowadays a lot of people are addicted, especially teenagers but likely it's not a problem for me. In my opinion it is impossible for modern company to survive without social media. It's the easiest way to advertise themselves. Moreover, companies get much more people's opinions in faster and more convenient way and by staying in touch with their clients it's easier to improve their services. I can imagine living without social media as a student but it may be a harder life. Many people, for example on Facebook, share their notes, information about tests or other important events at university and without those people probably I would have some problems.
1.Do you think social media are addictive ? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?
Of course, I think so. A little bit...I'm lying to myself now :) I use Facebook usually like a chat or a little storage when write to myself and load the files like tickets, links, etc.
2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
If the question is in survival - yes, I do. However, I see no reason to miss such a big promotion mechanism as social networks.
3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
As a student I can't imagine life without the Internet :) Social media is not major part of student life. So I can :)

I think social media are addictive, especially I see it after my girlfriend, there is no hour without a moment of Facebook or Instagram. As far as I am concerned, I think that I spend too much time on Facebook, especially at work and I have to work on it. Today's advertising, every product, etc. is mainly based on social media and without it it would be worse, but not catastrophic. There used to be no such thing and there were advertisements on TV, for example.
As a student I have to say that it would be really hard, without common notes, etc.
Mykhailo Reznyk said…
I am not very active social media user. I never was one. I do not post or repost anything, don’t like or dislike anything. For me social network was always just a fast way to contact my friends. And of course a news feed. That is basically all. I know that there are “addicted” people, but I can’t image myself becoming one. I just don’t like to share my personal experience, moments of life or feelings with everyone. So of course I would perfectly survive without Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
On the other hand, I understand that nowadays social medias are very important for companies and celebrities. Hollywood stars and famous singers need them. Their Instagram or Twitter have millions of followers. It’s almost like their official web page, where they share their thoughts or promote something. Same with companies, just on a bigger scale. Facebook page just another platform for them to promote their product or services. I believe any company can get along without social media account. But they would lose a significant number of potential buyers. See, services like Facebook are just a tool. And a lot of business masterly “abuse” it, to sell more stuff. I think this tendency will stay and we will see more and more adds in social media.
Yes, definitely social media are addictive, no doubts. But I don't think that I am fully addicted to them. More or less I can control myself and I can easily ignore them for few days. Of course, sometimes laziness beats me and I spend/waste my time on social medias.
My opinion, huge old companies can live without deep integration in social medias, maybe only for some big announcements or something like this. If we are talking about new small companies - most likely not, but again it all depends. If the company's activity is directly related to social networks (sales and services sector) or it's easier to work and communicate with customers via social networks. In future I believe all companies will have accounts in Instagram , Facebook etc.
No, I can't imagine living without social media as a student, we communicate via social networks. And I get a lot of useful information from above mentioned networks.

1. Do you think social media are addictive? Do you think that You are addicted to them?
- Yes, social media are addictive, if you cannot survive two hours without checking your Facebook or Instagram you are probably addicted to it. I believe that I am addicted to them because I check them every that about five times a day and it would be hard for me to stop.
2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
- Definity not, it is a great way to advertise your product to other people. Also, it helps a lot while you are looking for some basic information about your business like where is it located or when it is opened. Also, it is much easier to create a Facebook page rather than a whole new website which is dedicated to your company
3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student?
- No, for example, Facebook is the best way to find information where will be the next exam or where to find information about how to pass the classes.
Yes, I think social media is addictive. Yes, I think I'm addicted to them because when I have a lot of free time, most time waste on browsing social networks.

No, I think that every company nowadays should have its fanpage on Facebook and an Instagram account.

Of course, thanks to social media, however, I have easier communication with the group, I can keep track of events at my university etc.
I think everything can be addictive, and social media definitely are. I’m totally not addicted to social media. I use them only to contact with those addicted friends who can’t even read sms, only PMs on social media.
Almost everyone use social media, so it’s great way to share information, advertise yourself, etc. modern companies doesn’t have to have social media, but it’s helpful. And if it can help them grow, they definitely should have it.
As a student, I can’t imagine living without social media. As I mentioned before, it’s fantastic way to share information, send notes, etc. For me, there is no faster way to communicate with big number of people.

1. I think that social media are highly addictive because e.g. Facebook is designed that you are not able to check every published content. You can check your wall again and again and you can't see everything. I am not addicted to Facebook because I don't publish anything there and I use it only for messenger.
2. I think that it depends on kind of industry but usually it is necessary to have a social media accounts to use it as form of advertisement.
3. I have to admit that it is much easier when I can communicate with other students using social media. It would be much harder to study without such possibility. ;)

In my opinion social media is the most popular addiction nowadays. Unfortunatelly I'm in this group of people that loves watching stupid stuff just to waste their time.. It's just comfy, to sit on your couch and scroll through facebook, instagram or tinder - this application are designed in this specific way to catch, hold and keep their viewer attention. As far are modern companies are concerned I think that they can survive, but not neccesserly succide. Social media is so powerfull tool to get influence and spread yor own marketing campaing that not using it can only be a bad thing. You can gain so much, just by managing it in professional and smart way. There are so many people that earn way much money from social media marketing than full educated doctor who save lifes. It's unfair, but this is how it works. As a student I couldn't imagine my life without social media -> it helps to learn, share and gain knowlage, comunicate and meet new people, new potentialy perspective contacts -> I know that there were huge scandals across facebook, but the benefit that they can give to people is even bigger.

Of course social media are addictive and in my opionon today it's the number one addiction. I had some moments when I was using social media's a lot but now I can't call in and addiction. I use them mostly to chat with people and sometimes to look for some interesting things.
In my opinion it's not unnecessary to run a business but it is really helpfull to promote. For example almost everybody have an facebook account so it's a good place to advertise.
Yes I can imagine no social media on studies, but again, everybody use it so it is simply to conversate there.

1. Do you think social media are addictive? Do you think that You are addicted to them ?

I think social media can be addictive and often they are, but I think I' m not addicted to them. I haven't any posts on my facebook profile and I posted only one snap at holidays.
I mainly use Messenger to contact with friends, becouse it's faster and more comfortable then traditional SMS.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?

I don't know, but I think social media are great advertisement mechanism.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
I think it's possible, but very difficult. Social media like facebook/messanger is good place to communicate, share notes and so on.
I can't imagine life of modern student without social media because It's easy way to share information between colleagues and friends. Usually using Telegram or Facebook I can get fresh information about classes and tasks. I think that in modern life thing that is important is messengers because it's easy and simple way to communicate inside of the group and co-workers but we can live without Facebook VK or other media.

I think that social media are very dangerous drug and are very addictive. I spend a lot of time with my smartphone browsing social media so i feel very addicted to them.
In my opinion TV and radio advertising are still very strong so i think that some of the companies could survive without social media accounts but will loose a lot of money by that.
I would love to live without social media but it is very hard to say no.
I think that social media are addictive and it's a huge problem. I'm probably addicted- I love wasting time on social media and it disturbes my sleeping cycle.
I doubt that any modern company can nowadays survive on the market without a social media account. Activity on SM is very important- it reminds us that certain companies exists.
Well, I can imagine living without social media as a student but it would be much more difficult (Sharing informations is a easier with social media).
This subject is not relevant for me. I do not use social networks. Edinstvinoye, that it is necessary for me - it is fast access to the friend. I use service of fast exchange of messages. I more than have enough of it. I think, social networks very strong tool for marketing. Only imagine. You created firm, and you need advertizing. Where most of people? Correctly, in sofialny networks. Only these people do not want to see advertizing. Here on this, to you will have to think how to present your advertizing. Even if I do not use social networks, it does not mean that others do not use them.

Definitely, social media's are the cigarettes of our time unfortunately. Why unfortunately well because they are free and aviable at all time.

Without social media account i think so, not so much without website, although recent tactics show companies use social media as a nice and easy to use marketing tool rather than to "really" interact with their customers.

Definitely, by no means its necessary to have one even as a IT Student, but u will miss out on many things, and a lot of information passed around.

I think so. Nowadays, there is not so many people that don't use social networks. But they has own pros and cons.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?
Maybe, because not all spheres are digitalized yet. I believe any company can get along without social media account. But looking forward, I think there will be less and less such spheres.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?
Absolutely not. Because all news, changes, and conversations now happen on facebook or other platforms.

1) I use social networks only to communicate with people. So I cannot say that I am really addicted to them.

2) No, that is wrong!! Communication is the most crucial part of doing a business.
Waiting too long to answer or not able to inform about being late for the meeting waste time for both parties.

3) No, I think it would be impossible in the current year. Too much crucial information can be attain from communicating with other students.

I think they are more addictive, but also it depends on the personality in general because of everything double-edged sword.
For me, I don't addict with social media.

2. Do you think that a modern company can survive on the market without a social media account?

Actually no, because of nowadays social media mostly part of people life.
So any modern company should have social media accounts to still survive but services or products come first before social media account.

3. Can You imagine living without social media as a student ?

Yes, it will be like life without connection, sharing files and every student will depend on (himself/herself) to make the university assignments. (*_*)
In my comment, I assume using social networking sites is not the same as communicating with friends (although it’s a feature of those sites). For me, it’s passive scrolling through needless information intertwined with ads and native marketing that’s more of a problem here.

I 100% agree that social networking sites are very addictive. Recently I’ve been trying to limit my use of them to as little as possible. I realized that I only use to do that when I’m bored or have nothing to do (which is a lie).

I think no modern company, organization or event can survive without social media accounts. By creating such profiles, brands bring themselves closer to their audience and take advantage of social marketing.

As I said before, I use social media mostly for communicating with friends and colleagues. If all of us would move from Facebook to e.g. WhatsApp, I would just delete my Facebook account because I wouldn’t need to use it for anything else. So yes, I can imagine living without social media but it’s not feasible at the moment.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
