Week 11 [05.06-11.06.2017] The Notorius

He’s 29 years old. He used to work as a plumber until 2008. He decided to take the matters into his own hands.  Now he is a legend of UFC. I present you the Notorious… Conor McGregor.

1. Have you heard about Conor McGregor? What do you think about him?
2. Have you ever watched MMA (Mixed martial arts) or boxing?
3. Do you agree sport can change someone’s life for better?
4. Is it enough to believe in your dreams to be able to realize them?

I have never heard about him although I'm a big fan of watching any martial arts. I don't know barely anything about it but I just like to watch it.
Recently I have watched KSW and I was really fascinated by those people.
I think that any kind of sport can change life for better. In my opinion sport teaches competition, humility and perseverance in aiming goals. In any kind of sport we sometimes have to deal with defeat, but also we are training hard to achieve goals.
I think believing in our dreams isn't enough to realize anything. Dreams don't come true, we have to help them and keep doing something to achieve our goals.

Of course that I have heard about Conor McGregor. Everyone knows that he is one of legends of MMA. I watch MMA but what happens in Polish KSW destroys this brand. Unfortunetelly today boxing is dying. MMA is more interesting. I think that every sport changes your life for better. But if you start doing sport professionally, it destroys your life. This is my opinion. Unfortunatelly it's nor enought that you believe in your dreams, they don't always come true. People say that if you really believe, these dreams come true.

I've never heard of Conor McGregor and I'm not a big fan of MMA nor boxing.
Of course I think sport can change one's life for better. Succeeding in any sport requires dedication, consistency and self-denial. I know several people with serious family problems. Instead of letting the environment have a bad influence on them, they decided to devote themselves to sports. And that literally saved their lives. Most of them tried matrial arts, which allowed them to get rid of the negative energy and add regularity to their life. And now, instead of drinking alcohol as their parents, they are taking part in competitions.
I don't think believing in your dreams is enough to realize them. I can believe I can be a millionaire, but if I do nothing to achieve this, I definitely won't become one in the future.

Sorry, but I've never heard about Conor McGregor and I'm not a big fan of MMA.
Of course I agree that sport can change life for better. Playing sports can have a number of positive life-long effects. It's also a way to develop important social skills. Playing sports enables you to create friendships you otherwise might not have formed. Sports bring people together from different schools, backgrounds, and communities.
Also, sports improves your self-discipline. Playing a sport requires dedication and training, an important thing to learn for your future career.
1. Have you heard about Conor McGregor? What do you think about him?

He fights really great - has a lot of confidence that makes his opponents crazy. But one thing I do not like about him is that he got really cocky and as I saw through the years - that always ends very bad, look at Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva fight if you know what I mean.

2. Have you ever watched MMA (Mixed martial arts) or boxing?

UFC, KSW, K-1 there was a lot for about 20 years. Cro Cop, Emalienko, Overeem, Adamek there were many of great names during recent years in box and MMA.

3. Do you agree sport can change someone’s life for better?

You have to be systematic, work with lot of stress and give all of your time for sports - completely change the way you live to achieve your goal makes wonders.

4. Is it enough to believe in your dreams to be able to realize them?

I think it should be said - believe and work very hard to achieve them - many legendary names like Ronaldo, McGregor, Alonso, Emalienko had to train a lot to be the best in the business they are working in. Ronaldo achieved almost anything in football, Alonso a lot in F1, Emalienko showed us how lethal can a MMA fighter be. Every sport needs training.

I've heard about Notorious before not sure when or where.
I don't watch nor like MMA, I tolerate boxing sometimes watch it with my cousin (he's a big fan). Despite that, I have tremendous amount of respect for those guys. I know it requires much dedication, tenacity, self-will, time, consistenciy, discipline, etc. Those are virtues of a fighter/warrior. I respect that. And of course I belive sport can change someone's life for better but not because of sport alone but becuase it requires that which I mentioned and that can help in every field of life.

To be honest I haven't heard of Conor McGregor - maybe because I rarely watch MMA in TV/on the internet, but, I have to say, I respect him. Seeing that someone have such great attitude to for example sport, some important life decisions, and things like that makes me happy. I can agree with sentence "Sport can change someome's life for better" because when you find hobby, or youre determined what you decided to do, you train for example your strong will and that helps a lot.

I have never heard of him before and I am not a fan of such sports, I think I watch some tournaments very very occasionally. In my opinion it is totally true that sports can change drastically the way we live, the way we feel and also our perception of the things which we experience. I think sports can only do good in the sense that they can only add positivity into our lives.

I never heard about Conor McGregor, maybe because I'm not interested in MMA and this kind of sport. I don't like watching such brutal sports. Recently I watched with my colleagues the KSW league and I think it isn't for me. Anyway I admire people who have achieved such results with their self-discipline and hard training. Of course, sport changes our lives because it teaches us to be systematic but also to accept failures. At the beginning of the road, even if we have talent, we suffer failure, so we have to constantly try. I think sport helps a lot in everyday life.

Sport instill physical and emotional resiliency. Resiliency is the quality of being able to "bounce back." Whether it's from an injury or disappointment, a broken heart or a failed bid at a championship, resiliency is an essential quality to cultivate. Sports demand resiliency. Not every effort, no matter how well-planned, rehearsed, and executed, is going to be a successful one. Not every strategy will succeed. What sports can teach is how to learn from those losses: how to be resilient. This goes for sports fans, too. Ask anyone who's known the heartbreak of seeing their favorite baseball team lose after taking the pennant: they'll tell you that they'll be back next season.

No I haven't heard of this guy before, and I don't watch MMA too often, but I am very interested in martial arts. This is my passion actually, and I train it also. :) I like to watch it but I don't have much time to do so unfortunately. But the idea of martial arts is to strengthen your body but first of all your mind, to give you peace and control over your mind, body and life in general. This is just great. :) Wins, failures, it's always teaching us something and the biggest fight is always in your head. One very smart man told: "The biggest victory is the victory over yourself." And I fully agree with him.

I have never heard about Conor McGregor, but after watching this short movie I think he is a well organize and very motivated person. I think to be a good fighter you need to have a very strong character, not only physical strength. I think sport is a very important part of our lifes. It help us not to think on daily worries and clear our minds.

I've read some news about him before and watched a few UFC events. Of course sport changed his life in this case - he was a regular plumber, UFC career gave him a feeling of winning, like every sport does if you archieve something. And of course he got a lot of money from this which changes your life choices and opportunities.

I've never heard about this guy but after watching this movie all I can say is 'Nothing is impossible'.
I'm not a big fan of MMA, from time to time I watch boxing, recently I watched KSW and it was quite good.
Sport can change each life for better.

Conor is one of the best UFC fighter in this organisation and his career is very interesting. He work very hard and now he get profit from that work. I think he really like what he do and also audience like how he fight.
Unfortunately I did not hear nothing about him , not a big fan of any kind of fights. I think that sport can change lives in the best and the worse , as there are in the past good athletes who finished his career at an early age because of any injury or problems with health.

I have heard about Connor, I consider him to be perky and he do not respect his opponents. But he is a great fighter.
I'm not a regular watcher of MMA or boxing, but occasionally I watch some great fighters fights, like Fedor Emelianenko.
I agree that sport can change life for better, I'm and example of it :).
Beliving is not enough. You have to work very hard to realize your dreams.
I haven't heard about this man so I don't know what I think about him. I'm not a fan of MMA so I haven't watched it. I belive that sport can change someone's life for better, but not all of them, for example - boxing where you constantly damage your head.

I agree with you. Polish KSW is waste of time. Famous singer, body-builder, strongman...well for me this is not MMA. I don't agree with you that boxing is dying. We've been focused on heavyweight boxing, but Klitschko brothers destroyed it how they fought. Now I recommend lightweight boxing. It is very interesting.

"Dreams don't come true, we have to help them and keep doing something to achieve our goals." I agree with you and Connor McGregor is great example of it.
I never heard of that guy, but I can perfectly relate to question number 4 - no, it's not enough to believe in your dreams to realize them. It always comes with hard work, practice, a lot of time spent on training and swimming through an ocean of failures to be able to reach your goal.

Yes, if somebody is determined enough and truly wants to achieve something while working towards it, he has pretty high chance of making it, but definitely just believing and hoping for the best won't make a difference. State of mind is important, but not as important as experience.

Wow! You are really big fan of MMA! I know Weidman, Silva or Emalienko, they are/was great fighters. But Connor are "notorious" because he is really cocky as you said. For me he create great show and making very good promotion to UFC. His trash talk maybe is annoying for somebody, but for me is really funny. But he respects the opponent on the ring and after the fight (like fight with Aldo or Diaz). Thanks for your comment!
Honestly I haven't heard about this man. I'm not so much into sports and especially MMA. I've always thought that it is super intense and I wanted to train it though. I agree that sport can change your life. We hear many stories about people who reached rock bottom and they arise thank to sports. And this is great. That kind of sacrifice and devotion to one thing is amazing. I think only believing in dreams is not going to help to achieve them. You have to do something about it. For example, my girlfriend wants to get fit and lose some weight and I don't see her sitting on the couch and "believing in losing weight". She trains a lot at the gym and she swims and eats healthy. Of course you should believe in yourself but also take some action. You don't achieve your dreams only thinking about them.

I've never heard about Conor McGregor before, neither did I watched boxing or MMA (honestly I have no idea what the second thing is). I'm a total antifun of such brutal sports. Althought I could come along with the view that it's worth to fight for your dreams and never give up. That's always a nice story when sb in a bad life situation manages to succeed.

Oh, so he is a fighter, I thought he is kind of model or something:) I have seen his pictures on Internet for several times, I don't remember the topic, but the pictures were somehow connected with fashion life. Maybe I am mistaken, but I didn't paid attention too much, I just remember that in one moment his face became popular. I am not into boxing, so I don't promise to watch his fights, but thank you for your article, cause now I know, whom he is:)

Yes, I heard about him before. Exactly a few weeks ago I found his fights on YouTube by accident. This guy is amazing he is very charismatic and a good fighter. What he is doing on the ring is such incredible. Unfortunately I don’t understand him well in this video because of his Irish accent. But I watched many other films about him in the internet. I agree that sport ( and any other disciplines ) can change live for better. There is many example in the history people such as e.g. Mohamed Ali or Chalidov.

This is one of the best and funniest MMA fighter :D. He's alive legend. In my opinion - sports can change our life for better but I don't know if it's the best exaple because we have to realize what is a better change? It's a money, fame, health? Everyone has his own opinion on this subject. I used to watch every fights with our polish fighters like Błachowicz, Kowalkiewicz, Jędrzejczyk. :)

Connor McGregor of course I've heard of him. Who hasn't? He is one of the best and funniest MMA fighters. I sometimes watch MMA so i know a bit. For many people like him sport changed their lives. Sometimes for better sometimes for worse. Still it's not only dreams that allow success. Success comes with dreams, passion and hard work.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
